We are honoured to be the only school in Croydon to be invited every year to attend the commemoration service that was held at Croydon’s War Memorial in Katherine Street on Monday, 11th November 2019. Twenty pupils from Year 6 attended the service and laid their crosses at the monument.
After the ceremony, pupils were invited to have refreshments and were given the opportunity to talk to the Mayor and veteran soldiers. This was a fantastic learning experience for pupils and Elmwood is privileged to be invited to participate every year.
