Croydon are offering some new opportunities for your Key Stage 2 pupils, including free workshops for anyone in receipt of pupil premium funding.

Local Library Classes

Croydon Music & Arts is launching some new classes in local libraries (New Addington, Purley and Thornton Heath), aimed at introducing KS2 pupils to a range of different musical instruments and performing arts. Classes are great value (£34/term) with discounts for Pupil Premium and Free School Meals pupils. The CMA Voyagers sessions are completely FREE for children on your Pupil Premium register and we would love it if you could promote these classes to the relevant parents and carers. The sessions are a fun, interactive, varied and engaging way for individuals to discover their interests and talents. The course culminates in a performance to families. Further information including dates and times can be found on our website: https://www.croydonmusicandarts.co.uk/library-classes

Endangered Species Open Morning

On 8th October we will be holding our Endangered Species open day as part of our Saturday morning centre. This class is aimed at encouraging children to try out less-commonly played instruments such as the double bass, bassoon and French horn. Please forward this flyer to pupils who might be interested. If you are able to play some short recordings of these instruments in your classroom that would be wonderful!
